We present the Golden Chariot-a fine balance between a glorious yesterday and an omnipresent tomorrow in a magical land ... that is Karnataka.

The Eight -days sojourn Departs from Bangalore every Monday evening & takes the travellers through Mysore (covering Srirangapatnam, Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary), Hassan (Belur, Halebid, Shravanabelagola), Hospet (Hampi), Gadag (Aihole, Badami, Pattadakkal) and Goa; before returning to Bangalore next Monday morning.The Golden Chariot Train is a joint venture of State Government of Karnataka & Ministry of Railways.

The new Golden Chariot train promises its passengers a luxurious and memorable week-long journey through the historic state of Karnataka in South India even touching exotic state of Goa briefly. To fulfill its promise, the train comprises 19 magnificently designed coaches. Out of these, 11 are passenger coaches in the Golden Chariot and each boasts of modern facilities such as wi-fi- ambience, plasma TV and attached baths and so on.

The surprises do not end just here! Passengers onboard are provided five star facilities in the sense that there are separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants on this train. As such, passengers on the Golden Chariot can choose to wine and dine at either of the restaurants as per their wish. The famous Golden Chariot train also has ‘Madira’ a fully stored bar in one of its coaches.

Other options available to the passengers on the Golden Chariot include an Ayurvedic center, spa, gym, conference coach, etc. All these facilities are available in the coaches of the golden Chariot train. Since the whole idea is to provide passengers an experience of lifetime, each and every coach within the Golden Chariot has been designed and decorated very tastefully.
